If you know of a school that would be interested in taking part in our initiative to promote the technology sector as a career option or is advancing in the IT and tech space, please reach out to them to get them involved today.
As part of its DEI initiative, the CIO Institute is looking to get more women into tech roles, and create more visibility for the IT sector.
As part of its ongoing research, the CIO Institute has identified the lack of diversity within the sector and will continue its fight to ensure that IT becomes equal in rank as compared to other professions, particularly when it has become such a critical need for businesses to succeed in this era of modernisation.
In a move to address some of these challenges, the institute has invited some remarkable women in the field to share their inspiration stories and how we can all come together to achieve a more balanced sector.
With two date options, schools will be able to e-meet these powerful figures and obtain insights on what a successful career in IT could look like to further motivate students to explore a non-traditional (however, just as rewarding) education path.
Some of the confirmed speakers include Sonia Patel, System CIO, NHS England, Wendy Redshaw, CDIO, NatWest Group, Mivy James, Digital Transformation Director of BAE, and many others. At the end of the sessions, students will be able to put forward any questions they want and take away some key tips on what it takes to succeed in the field of IT and things to look out for.
Schools can choose to attend either one, or both days. To view the agenda for the 10th of May, click here. For the 12th of May, view it here. Click the apply now button on the agenda page and we will be in touch with all the joining links.
This initiative is completely free to attend so spread the word to schools in your area today.
